1,240 farms mapped in 60 days , in San Pedro.

A full-stack drone · RTK GPS · Sentinel-2 mission delivered for a sustainable-cocoa program led by an international NGO, meeting EUDR parcel-level traceability requirements.

◇ The context

Mapping every plot to satisfy a demanding donor.

Our NGO partner runs a sustainable-cocoa program across 18 cooperatives near San Pedro. The international donor required, within 90 days, a parcel-level georeferenced database — every farm located at the sub-plot, cross-referenced with historical forest cover, and accessible online for field teams.

Traditional methods (consumer GPS, paper surveys) could deliver neither the sub-metric accuracy needed for the audit nor the pace set by the donor's calendar. DEC was selected after a 48-hour field demonstration.

Operational outcomes

Beyond the map.

  • Plot → cooperative → export traceability, compliant with EUDR requirements.
  • Early detection of 12 forest-encroachment zones previously undocumented in the program.
  • Targeted agroforestry plan for the 248 ha at risk, submitted to the donor as a report annex.
  • Donor audit passed without major reservation; phase 2 funding confirmed.
« The sub-metric accuracy and delivery pace let us hold the donor audit calendar. The WebGIS is used daily by our field teams — not just one more deliverable gathering dust in a drawer. »
